Within our practice we assess and provide treatment for a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, stress, relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, other phase of life problems and couple relationship problems. Working collaboratively with clients sets the stage for development of a strong client-therapist relationship which is crucial to the work of psychotherapy. Exploration of the presenting problems, understanding negative patterns within one's self and in relation to others aids in the resolution of symptoms which often cause people distress and impaired functioning.
Work in psychotherapy, although painful at times, is also liberating. It can help to attain mastery over repetitive, maladaptive patterns and incapacitating symptoms. It can lead to an improved sense of well being, self acceptance and general quality of life.
Self referrals are accepted. Through experience with interdisciplinary teams, we are comfortable working directly and indirectly with other care providers including family physicians, psychiatrists and other medical specialties.
Fees range from $80.00 to $120.00 per hour. Fees may be covered by extended health care benefits.
